Passion, tradition and innovation
A family affair
For over four generations now, our family has raised livestock. From great-grandfather Enrico to grandfather Serafino, our passion for animals is in our blood.
The Corradini family has always been a farming family and already in the last century it took care of livestock including cows, horses, bulls, pigs and chickens.
The family barn is located opposite the Maso and was built in the mid-1800s; until a few years ago, that is where we looked after our animals. Recently, and more precisely in 2016, we built and opened a new barn right opposite the Maso. Here animal welfare comes first: the structure is made of Alpine wood and our cows are raised in free-stall housing. This means there are large "pens", one for dairy cows and one for heifers and young heifers, where the animals can move freely, walk around, eat, drink and take a nap on specially built cubicles with a "comfortable" rubber for the animals, so as to guarantee them a well-deserved rest too.
Inside our barn you can find:
- dairy cows
- heifers
- young heifers
- calves (male and female)
- pigs
- chickens
- goats
- rabbits
and the two cute kittens.
Thanks to the 2014-2020 Rural Development Programme of the Autonomous Province of Trento, it was possible to introduce cutting-edge technologies in the new building, such as the milking parlour and the automatic feeder. Thanks to this equipment, it is possible to ease the operator’s work, milk five animals at the same time and provide feed distribution in an automatic and individual way. Each cow is in fact equipped with a transponder, an electronic device that allows the animal to be identified, enabling its activities to be monitored and any anomalies that may occur during the day.
